MISSION:

The Purpose of National Sr. Beta Club shall be to promote the ideals of character,service, and leadership among secondary students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.

Frequently Asked Questions about BETA:

1. How does a student join BETA?

Students in the 9th, 10th or 11th grades are invited to join BETA if they have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Initial dues are $37.

2. What does my child have to do to remain in BETA?

Once inducted into Beta, students must maintain a GPA of a 3.0, pay their yearly dues, participate in a minimum amount of service hours each semester, attend a minimum amount of meetings each semester, and maintain a clean discipline record. Yearly dues are $5 to be paid by September 1 of each school year.

3. What does BETA actually do?

Beta club members participate in a variety of activities such as Founder's Day, Field Day at our local elementary schools, canned food drives and American Red Cross Blood Drives to help in their community. Beta’s are expected to volunteer in their community.

4. How will BETA help my child?

Beta club is nationally recognized by colleges and universities. Students in good standing can list their involvement when applying to colleges. The organization also fosters leadership skills and provides a setting to develop interpersonal relationship skills.
